Dutch-designed premium stroller and baby-transport brand, co-founded by Max Barenbrug (a design graduate from the Design Academy Eindhoven) and entrepreneur Eduard Zanen. Launched its first stroller ('Bugaboo Classic') in the Netherlands around 1999, followed by the iconic Bugaboo Frog (UK launch 2001) and wider international expansion. Known for innovative engineering, high-quality modular designs, and adjustable mobility products. Headquartered in Amsterdam, with offices including the UK, and manufacturing involving assembly in Xiamen, China. Products sold in over 50 countries. In 2018 acquired by Bain Capital, and in 2024 a majority stake was acquired by Mubadala Capital to drive further growth and sustain innovation. Offers travel systems, strollers, car seats, accessories, and baby-wearing solutions (e.g. Artipoppe). Maintains strong design ethos, rigorous quality testing, and sustainability commitments.
