After setting to the required diameter it prevents slide block from moving while tightening lock screw. Prevents adjusting screw from stripping threads; very easy and fast to adjust. Precision machined components. Made from chrome nickel alloy tool steel. Modular components - simple yet secure coupling system. Large adjusting ranges on rough and finish boring heads.
